On the 9th October 2017, we began setting up our location of the stage with the lighting we would like. We have chosen to film on the stage as this will allow us access to different lighting techniques, fits to the type of video we are hoping to create which is performance and is also practical as the stage allows for plenty of room for the dancers to perform. We have chosen to use the school stage as we have easy access to this and this is also a safe and secure environment for us to film our video in. The lighting we have chosen for our video is a purple lighting, with a stain-glass window projected onto the back wall and a spotlight on our artist. Ceri and I chose purple lighting as we feel this will create a moody and atmospheric effect however the purple is not too dull and will still look interesting on screen. For this project I will be working in a pair with Ceri Lewis and before deciding on what song we would choose to use for our music video we shortlisted five possible songs. A clear theme between these songs is that they are all from the same genre of indie; we have chosen this genre as we personally have the most interest and knowledge in this genre. 1) Take Me To Church-Hozier A clear reason why Take Me To Church by the Irish, singer, songwriter and musician Hozier is a potential choice is due to the fact that both Ceri and I have connections with dancers who are experienced in performing this song. Due to their knowledge, reliability and their very professional and skilled talents we believe this would be an real asset to our music video, helping the video to look as professional as possible.
