Twitter Feeds
Ceri and I decided to create Twitter pages for both our artist, Freya Tamsin, who will be starring in the music video as our main singer and a page for our dance duet, Bows. We have decided to create Twitter pages for both our singer and dancers, as they are both play an equally important role within our current video plan. By creating Twitter pages we are able to make our artist, dancers and music video more realistic. In today's modern culture many people within the music industry have their own Twitter feeds, allowing them to have a more interactive relationship with their audiences. Twitter is also a very common way that artists release information about their upcoming work, as this will reach very wide audiences.
Within "Freya's" Twitter page we have used a photo of her as her the icon photo and then a photo of a crowd at at concert for header. This would clearly demonstrate to audiences that this Twitter page is for an music artist; the photo we have used for the icon is not a typical selfie; instead the photo is of "Freya" within a scenic background. This type of photo helps to demonstrate the indie genre and audiences will be able to recognise this. For Freya's bio we have said "Other than singing I don't really know what I'm doing" and we feel this will be relateable to our target audience and appeal to their sense of humor. We have made Freya's location Liverpool to match up with her biography that we have created, allowing to make her as an artist look as consistent and genuine as possible.
For "Bows" our dancers Twitter page, we have used a photo of two dancers on harnesses dancing in the rooftops. This photo also fits to the indie genre, which helps us to target our target audience and begin to integrate the indie genre into the preparation for the video. The header photo for their page is the shadow of a dancer on ballet shoes, in black and white, which also helps to tell audiences who the duo are/what they do and fit into the indie genre. Bows bio is "dance, dance, dance pretty much sums us up very well" as this clearly outlines to audiences who the dancers are and what they do. Again this was also done for the effect of appealing to our target audience and what is relateable to them. The location for Bows is London/Manchester as this fits to their story, within the autobiography we have written for them.
To create these profiles we have gained inspiration from existing artists such as Birdy and P!nk, which we found particularly helpful for the bio's. Birdy states her profession "Singer-Songwriter" which is why we have included the fact that Freya sings within her bio. P!nk's bio builds up excitement for what is to come from the artist "its all happening" and did not use a capital letter,
which we have included for Bow's bio. We have also made both accounts pinned Tweet, a tweet where their profession is shown, allowing audiences to understand more and create a genuine looking account.
Throughout the process of creating our video, Ceri and I will regularly update the Twitter pages to allow for this to look as realistic and genuine as possible. This is what many artists use their Twitters for and will allow our Twitter pages to look more realistic and genuine. We will also be posting quotes of lyrics, as this is what many artists do, particularly indie artists as shown by the female indie artist of Halsey. Many artists also use hashtags in aide to help them reach wider audiences, so to allow our accounts to look as real as possible we will also be using hashtags throughout this process. We have also had our artist and dancers react with each other and Tweet each to allow the friendship and bond to look as authentic as possible.
